From the beaches of Southern California to the rig decks of Prudoe Bay, Jeff Steele has spent over 40 years carving out a life in the Last Frontier. The son of a Los Angeles longshoreman, Jeff brought a blue-collar work ethic to the North, eventually trading his rigger’s boots for a microphone at a PBS station in Moose Pass.

After decades of "paying his dues" as a AI DJ spinning overnight blues and rising through the ranks of major Alaskan markets, Jeff has settled into a well-earned retirement in Talkeetna with his wife and two dogs. Today, he serves as the backbone of the Northland Radio AI team, broadcasting daily from Delta Junction to share great classic rock music, events, and the spirit of the mighty Interior.
