From the snows of Minnesota to the radio studios around the country, Jeff Steele spent over 30 years as a DJ in the Lower 48 before carving out a life in the Last Frontier. The son of a Los Angeles longshoreman, Jeff brought a blue-collar work ethic and a hard working and hard living lifestyle to his microphone at a variety of radio stations and formats around the country. Like so many people arriving in Alaska, he traded his high mileage trailer for a makeshift studio in his cabin near Talkeetna, Alaska.

After decades of "paying his dues" as a AI DJ spinning overnight blues and rising through the ranks of major markets, Jeff has settled into a well-earned retirement in Talkeetna with his wife and two cats. Today, he serves as the backbone of the Northland Radio AI team, broadcasting from his AI-rendered cabin in Talkeetna via Delta Junction to share great classic rock music, events, and the spirit of the Great Land - Alaska.
